The lettuce shaped leaves are soft and hairy. This plant spreads by sending out runners to form young plants. 

• PThe fine roots give good cover to young fish. Pistia are not hardy and do best place in sheltered ponds.

These are picked directly from our ponds so will contain pond debris around the roots and possibly snails. 

We advise to fleece these for the first few days in your pond with damp newspaper to acclimatise and prevent end of leaf damage and keep out of cool breezes as this will damaged the end of the leaves and turn them white
